Evelyne Day Rush
Although Evelyne grew up in a loving home, she felt sheltered and over-protected by her parents. They made her feel imprisoned. She believed the lies that God made false promises and was ignoring her. Evelyne began drinking alcohol in her early teen years. She also moved out at the age of 18. She became a drug addict and was rebellious towards those in authority. Relationships with boyfriends were a nightmare, they did not last long. She felt the need to "perform" in order to get love. Evelyne started attending AA groups and therapy, at the time she had a victim mentality. Then one day she encountered God's love, she accepted Christ, and everything changed. She found a new trust in God and great hope for her future.
