“For a son, a father’s death is often the end of innocence, and the illusions that come with it,” says Alex Henry Foster. He speaks from experience as the grieving period over the loss of his father, which would last 2 years, became a journey to the end of his sorrowful desperation and is what would ultimately inspire and give life to his first solo record “Windows in the Sky”, chronicling his dark nights of the soul, and taking the listener on a journey through grief and confusion that’s as uplifting as it is challenging. The album debuted at number 3 on the Canadian top 200 and stayed on the top 40 for a year after its initial release, scoring a nomination for best album of the year in Canada while being internationally acclaimed. Almost a year later, Alex released “Standing Under Bright Lights” which debuted at #4 on Billboard Canada, #6 on Aria Charts [AU] & #13 Official Independent album chart [UK].
