There’s hope for your weary feet and exhausted soul! Healthcare workers are suffering from their own epidemic of burnout and moral injury as a result of dwindling resources and being overworked. To care for patients, you need to find ways to take care of yourself. In 40 Days of Hope for Healthcare Heroes you’ll find inspirational readings and prayers to help renew your faith and focus, center your heart, and inspire you to rededicate yourself to the medical career you love. This beautiful giftbook combines short stories from the front lines, “Breakroom Boosts” to encourage and energize, space to journal, and prayers that are quick enough to recite during handwashing—something that occurs multiple times a day. Healthcare workers across all continuums of care will want to read this book to rediscover the joy of their calling and as a balm of relief for their caregiver’s soul. https://amyksorrells.com/

Daniel Byrne
Dan Byrne is the Ottawa City Lead of a ministry called Connecting Streams, which is partnering with Respond Ottawa in a project called “Adopt a Home/LTC” to encourage churches in the Ottawa region to link arms with one or more long term care homes and/or retirement homes to bless their staff through prayer and gifts and encouragement. They live all around you, in correctional institutions, long-term care facilities, the inner city or maybe even on your street—people that mainstream society tends to disregard, such as widows and newcomers to Canada. Vulnerable – overlooked – undervalued. Jesus asks His followers to go and be a physical presence demonstrating His love for each one. Connecting Streams equips and mobilizes the Church to help society’s vulnerable populations know Jesus and experience His power to change the world. Through partnerships and teams, we build trusting relationships that foster faith and hope. Connecting Streams helps our volunteers navigate any required clearance processes for areas with restricted access such as prisons, or rehab centers. We provide volunteers a team, ongoing training, coaching, and prayer support. http://connectingstreams.com http://respondottawa.ca
