Healthcare Heroes • 2m 42s
Dr. Ben Chan shares his experiences as a part time ER doctor in rural hospitals noting the negative
secondary effects of the pandemic – like cancellations for surgeries and diagnostic procedures; Seeing
patients walk in with large undiagnosed tumors; and people having mental health crisis because their
supports have been temporarily shut down. Dr. Ben talks about the importance of the verse 1 Peter
4:10 --- being a good steward as a way of expressing God’s grace for people in need. He asks for
prayer for wisdom in medical decisions, strength, endurance, peace and comfort for everything the
medical profession has had to deal with. Dr. Ben Chan also pays tribute to his health care co-workers
singing “Never Surrender” at the end.
