Ever wonder why you’re here, what God created you to do? It’s important to consider our purpose in life, but what if our primary purpose was not to do anything, but actually to be, to be in relationship with Him.
Over the years, I’ve met many successful people, who struggle to see their value, despite their achievements. Up here, we know that life doesn’t come from acquiring things, or accomplishing things, but in here, it’s a different story, isn’t it?
As a husband and father, I know how important relationships are, but we can’t rely on them to give us purpose either.
Psalm 127:2 tells us that God gives rest to His loved ones.
Rest isn’t just about sleep. It’s about knowing you are cared for by God.
When we’re alone, doing nothing, being still, do we know and experience the love of God, our Father? That’s the question of the day.
When a child is born to emotionally healthy parents, before he/she does a thing, they are loved, just for being themselves. They belong.
I encourage you to rest in this truth today. You belong to God and that is your primary purpose.
