Kr grew up in a Christian home filled with family that were ordained ministers. He was on his was to be following in their footsteps, but at 18 he decided to become a police cadet. 20 years later after a successful career in policing the biggest challenge he faced was balancing policing with his faith and dealing with pride. Along the way he met and married Gail – who also worked in policing – 911 operator and director of Crime Stoppers. She came to Christ because of KR’s influence. As KR was on the path to becoming the next Police Chief of Niagara region, when a very serious heart condition forced him to into retirement. After retiring, KR ran a successful family business, but wanted more. He felt called to seminary and upon graduation, he was offered a pastorate in St. Catherine’s at St. Catherine’s Christian Centre located in one of the neediest areas of the city.

Convoy of Hope has a strong history in Guatemala after several faithful responses to natural disasters. With a population of nearly 17 million people, Guatemala has some of the highest rates of malnutrition in the world. Having recently started a permanent national presence there, Convoy and their partners are addressing this need by establishing Children’s Feeding and Women’s Empowerment programs throughout the country. https://convoyofhope.org/
