Travis Olafsen tells his story publicly for the first time. Travis grew up in a great home, was very outgoing with lots of dreams for his life. At 18 in his first year of university, those dreams seemed to end when one night he was abducted and sexually assaulted. Travis’s personality changed dramatically and his life changed course.
Patrick Shea
On a summer Friday in 2012, Patrick awoke at three-thirty in the morning. Half of his body lay on the road, the other half on the curb. Flesh was torn from his elbows, forearms, knees and shins. A recent nasty divorce had caused Patrick to lose everything and sent him into a deep depression and to ease his sorrow he had ended up at a corner bar. After crawling home, Pat said to himself, “Enough is enough. Things have got to change.”. Sometime later Pat remembered he had a Bible been given at his brother’s funeral which had been sitting unused for twenty-five years. Pat started reading. After reading almost half of the Old Testament, Pat gave his life to Jesus, started attending church with a few friends, enrolled in a New Believers class and was baptized in water.
