Melinda Estabrooks is the Host, Showrunner, and Executive Producer of the women’s talk show See Hear Love, a show and community that values storytelling, courage, authenticity, inclusion, and faith in Jesus. For the past twenty-five years, Melinda has worked in broadcasting, journalism, public relations and marketing, leadership facilitation, advocacy, fundraising, and motivational speaking across the world. She loves being a wife to Chris and stepmom to Nathan and Sophie, throwing themed parties, organizing girls weekends away, eating Filipino, Korean, and Vietnamese food, dreaming of going back to Positano, Italy to sit and people-watch and swim along the Amalfi Coast, playing the ukulele, singing and dancing in the living room (badly, and much to the chagrin of her kids), exploring the great province of Ontario in her Mini Clubman, interior-designing her house, telling Chris what to paint next, journaling, praying out loud in the car, connecting amazing women together, and laughing! Her favourite encouragement to women? “Today is not your forever!” http://seehearlove.com
Emily Hester
More and more survivors of Indian Residential School are finding the courage to re-tell their experiences in hopes of educating others on the atrocities. Sharing circles allow survivors a safe place for healing. For Emily Hester, it was the power of forgiveness that led her to freedom. Crystal Lavallee traveled to Waskaganish First Nation in Quebec to meet Emily and listen as she shared her personal story and experience.
