Alena Pitts is a 16-year-old actress, author and vocalist. Known for her debut role as Danielle Jordan in the Kendrick Brothers’ 2015 box-office hit, War Room (the sixth-highest grossing Christian film in box-office history), Alena was launched into the spotlight at the age of 11. Shortly after the film’s release, Alena co-authored a three-book fictional series, Lena In The Spotlight (Zonderkids, 2017), with her mother, Wynter Pitts (author and founder of For Girls Like You Ministries). After tragically and unexpectedly losing her mother, Alena and her family took their heartbreak as an opportunity to share the hope found in Jesus Christ. Alena has discovered that sharing her story in song and writing has brought her the most healing. She is perhaps best-known for her part in Kirk Franklin’s song inspired by her mother, “Wynter’s Promise,” featured on his Grammy Award Winning album, Long Live Love, which won Gospel Album of the Year in 2020. Alena remains very grounded and values her relationship with Jesus Christ as her highest priority, followed by her commitment to her family. She has three sisters--Kaitlyn, Camryn and Olivia. She and her family reside in Franklin, Tennessee. http://alenapitts.com
