Lara Silva was born in Minas Gerais, Brazil and moved to the United States at the age of 6. She grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and attended an elementary school for performing arts. It was there that she found her love for entertaining. After college, she decided it was time to finally pursue her dream of acting and she moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 2016. In addition to The Chosen, she has been cast in major television series such as CW’s Dynasty, USA Network’s Queen of the South, NBC’s Good Girls, and Netflix’s Raising Dion and Bloodline. She recently starred in the feature film Blue Ridge opposite actor, Johnathon Schaech. Lara is also fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. The Chosen is the first multi-season television series about the life of Christ, as witnessed through the eyes of those He impacted.
