The Olympic Prayer Journey is a collaboration with Athletes in Action, Making Your Life Count, Jesus Film Project, Cru, JCCC and others. We are using the worldwide popularity of the Olympics as a springboard to leverage prayer for 17 countries around the globe, one for each day of the Games. Starting with the host country, Japan, on July 23rd, the date of Opening Ceremonies, and ending on August 8th, the date of the Closing Ceremonies, with France, the host of the 2024 Summer Games. Between them we will circle the globe, hitting every continent, to pray for a different nation each day. Japan, Australia, Indonesia, China, India, Turkey, Egypt, South Africa, Nigeria, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Jamaica, Mexico, UK, Germany, France The goal is to draw people in to virtually travel to each country, where they will be welcomed by a key national who will share about his or her country and his/her dream for the ministry in the next few years. Each day we will pray for the same five topics with the requests personalized for each country. · Pray for the Games · Pray for the Nation · National Challenges · Furthering the Kingdom · Praying for the Impact of Sports Our dream is to see tens of thousands of believers targeting the country of the day, lifting up the same requests before the Throne of God. He desires that we come together in united prayer. He knows everything, yet He wants us to pray specifically, and He chooses to respond by answering those prayers in miraculous ways. We expect, by faith, to see strongholds broken, lives changed, nations set free as a result of people banding together in one heart and mind, united in prayer. https://www.give.cru.org/0114250//a>
