Todd and Brooke Tilghman
Todd Tilghman and his wife, Brooke, share how decades of unrelenting challenges have taught them a joyful mindset of embracing not only winning The Voice but also "every little win" along the way. When Todd Tilghman, pastor and father of eight from Meridian, Mississippi, auditioned for The Voice, he counted it as a win simply to sing in front of an audience other than family and church members. Despite no music or vocal training, he not only made it through the blind audition--with all four celebrity judges vying to coach him--he also won the show's entire eighteenth season. Fans were drawn to Todd's tremendous joy on stage, giving them much-needed inspiration during the hard challenges of a global pandemic. In their first book, Todd and Brooke share how their focus on joy and celebrating every little win has helped them to overcome numerous challenges over their twenty-plus-year marriage. From adopting two children from South Korea to fighting for their newborn son's life to pastoring a small congregation through periods of adversity, Todd and Brooke share the lessons they've learned and the strategies that have moved them from fear to faith to ever-present joy. https://toddtofficial.com https://thomasnelson.com/p/every-little-win

Forgiveness offers an alternative to an endless cycle of resentment and revenge, but do you really understand forgiveness? In The Scandal of Forgiveness bestselling author Philip Yancey will answer: What is forgiveness; Why is forgiveness so difficult; Why is forgiveness scandalous; and What does God have to do with forgiveness? We all live and love imperfectly. Therefore, only forgiveness will set us free. Yancey teaches us how to forgive by better understanding the clear connection between God and the gospel. You will learn: • God forgives our debts as we forgive our debtors. • only by living in the stream of God’s forgiveness will we find the strength to respond with forgiveness toward others. • the true depth of what forgiveness is and what it demands of you. • how to shed the illusions about forgiveness. • the importance of grace and what it means to be a grace-full Christian. Previously published as What’s So Amazing About Grace, The Scandal of Forgiveness is great for: • someone who wants to learn how to authentically forgive and truly understand grace. • men and women that want a closer relationship with God. • readers who enjoyed Yancey’s other books--Disappointment with God, Vanishing Grace, and Where Is God When It Hurts? We speak of forgiveness often, even believing that we are forgiving people, but do we understand the true depth of it and what it demands of us? The Scandal of Forgiveness reveals how to adopt the forgiveness the world is searching for. https://philipyancey.com/

Ruth Ann Onley
As Ontario’s vice regal consort, Ruth Ann took part in many of the Lieutenant Governor’s activities, embracing her public role with enthusiasm. Raised on a farm near Simcoe, she studied psychology and French at university before becoming a professional singer and touring across North America. Throughout her husband’s time in office, Ruth Ann often attended functions and participated in initiatives in place of the Honourable David C. Onely when accessibility infrastructure precluded his attendance. Ruth Ann made 23 visits to Aboriginal communities in Northern Ontario as part of the Lieutenant Governor’s Aboriginal Youth Literacy program. Ruth Ann's vibrant and caring involvement has strengthened the viceregal relationship with Aboriginal communities in Ontario.
David Onley
When The Honourable David C. Onley was appointed The Queen's representative in Ontario, his concern for people with disabilities became front page news. And when he took office on 5 September 2007, Ontario's 28th Lieutenant Governor became a highly placed champion for accessibility. In his 22-year career with Citytv, he was Canada's first senior newscaster with a visible disability. A popular news anchor, host/producer, science and technology specialist, and weatherman, he showed that ability outshines disability. For his public service, The Honourable David C. Onley has been honoured with the King Clancy Award for Disabled Persons, the Courage to Come Back Award, and the Positive Impact Award. He was inducted into the Terry Fox Hall of Fame and the Scarborough Walk of Fame, and received an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from Canada Christian College. Onley was appointed as senior lecturer in the Department of Political Sciences at University of Toronto Scarborough, his alma mater. His appointment began on October 1, 2014. He also served as the University's Special Ambassador for the Pan Am and Parapan American Games. David is currently serving on the Board for Crossroads Christian Communications Incorporated.
Niagara's Mobile Closet
Niagara’s Mobile Closet is a non-profit organization started during the pandemic when 2 friends noticed the desperate need for clothing among the vulnerable in their city (St. Catharine’s, ON). Their clientele is largely the unsheltered homeless, and low income. Converting a little used food truck (due to lockdowns) into a mobile clothing depot, Founder, Pam Nicholson has seen the demand and donations of clothing items grow in the region, as they drive to various shelters, detention centers, and assisted living homes to offer clothing and other basic necessities. As of June, they’ve helped more than 750 people in the area. Leslie a volunteers says: “Nothing can fill your heart more with joy when you give somebody something that can’t give you anything back, except their love and kindness.” NMC has also grown in partnerships with other non-profits by pooling and sharing resources. Organizations like the Niagara Furniture Bank has shared their space with Niagara’s Mobile Closet to store clothing donations. Others, like No Bare Bums has received diapers and baby clothing items from NMC. Socks and Snacks have donated food and suntan lotion. Beyond the Streets in Welland have dropped off coats in the winter. Fur coats donated to NMC have been passed to a local lady who forwards them to Nunavut where they are made into hats and gloves for children. A man sends clothing that doesn’t get used to Ghana… and the list goes on. Niagara’s Mobile Closet will be needing a new truck soon as the shutdown lessens and Itty Bitty Pie Co. wants their truck back. Pray that donations for a replacement truck come in. https://niagarasmobilecloset.com/
