Mark & Jerrilyn Jurgeneit
Indigenous children don’t dream very often because the social challenges, racism in big cities and limited access to opportunities off reserve, hinders their forward motion. BUT…When Jerrilyn was a little girl on Six Nations, she saw the World Vision ads on tv and told her mom she was going to help those kids! After struggling through high school, Jerrilyn travelled across the country to attend Trinity Western University where she studied missions. Meeting her husband, Mark, the two graduated and set off to serve those in Africa and 9 other nations after that. They had two boys and were heavily involved with the Indigenous people in the South Pacific. God spoke to their hearts about starting a Discipleship Training School (DTS) with YWAM in Muskoka, Ontario. Since they launched, they have bene able to serve the Indigenous communities locally and in northern communities. http://ywammuskoka.org
Brooke Nicholls
Brooke Nicholls is a Worship Leader and Songwriter from Toronto ON where she serves as a Staff Worship Leader at Sanctus Church. In the Spring of 2018, Brooke felt the Lord asking her to write a devotional. And, although she felt under equipped, Brooke learned quickly that when God calls us to do something, He gives us the supernatural strength to get through it feeling empowered and stronger than we ever could have imagined! Isaiah 54 says, “Increase is coming, so enlarge your tent and add extensions to your dwelling. Hold nothing back! Make the tent ropes longer and the pegs stronger.” ‘Making Room’ is a devotional that invites you to turn your eyes to Jesus and create space for God to move in your life. http://brookenicholls.ca
