Trisha Naistus
Trisha was born and raised in Onion Lake First Nation Saskatchewan. Prior to meeting Jesus and choosing to make Him Lord of her life, Trisha struggled with anger and depression. Her Mom invited her to fast, before she accepted Jesus into her life. Following this fast, Trisha recounts how a man in white appeared to her in a dream…this man was Jesus! She was profoundly impacted by this, and today, she follows Jesus and has made Him Lord of her life.
Tricia Nicholls-Powell
Tricia (also known as Trish) struggled with an eating disorder, anorexia and bulimia from her childhood/youth. She was told at the tender age of 16 that she could not get pregnant because her body was ruined from anorexia. Trish now has 4 kids. She became pregnant at 18 years old. Trish admits she wore a mask and struggled with her body image. Thankfully she found hope. She realized she was sick while in a treatment center. Soon after, she discovered she is enough in Christ and pursued a relationship with Jesus to help her overcome. Her amazing faith has also helped her through other challenges such as raising children with autism, with one of her children needing to attend therapy for 10 years. Trish has spoken at women’s conferences and continues to share a message of hope and inspiration to those struggling with eating disorders as well share her advocacy work for autism.
