The series, now entering its 7th season, follows single mother Elizabeth Thornton (Erin Krakow), Hope Valley’s beloved schoolteacher who navigates life alone when her husband is suddenly killed on duty. The series is inspired by author, Janette Oke’s, bestselling book series about the Canadian West. Executive Producer and Co-Creator, Brian Bird, sits down with 100 Huntley Street Co-Host, Maggie John, to share some interesting and intriguing behind the scenes details about the shows beginnings, it’s longevity and the phenomenon that is the #hearties movement. https://www.hallmarkchannel.com/when-calls-the-heart

Aron Crimeni
Senseless grief is a familiar lament with Aron Crimeni whose 14 year old son Carson was left to die in a British Columbia skate park earlier this year. It's believed he was given drugs by older teenagers who then video-taped the incident for social media. Aron spoke with our Maggie John in Langley BC.

Jorge Torres
The Crown attorney spoke first. She read Jorge Torre’s long list of charges and convictions … She concluded by arguing that I had shown no remorse for my actions. Her final statement was one I will never forget: “He is a danger to society,” she said, “and he should not be let out.” In 1991, Jorge Torres and his family moved from war-torn El Salvador to what they presumed would be a safe and simple life in Winnipeg, Manitoba. But as a first-generation immigrant living in poverty, Jorge quickly began to feel that what he had – and who he was – didn’t seem to be enough. Battling against cultural differences and emotional abuse, he compensated by creating a criminal persona that earned him power, admiration and respect. Caught up in a lifestyle of drug dealing, he found himself addicted to the hustle and willing to risk everything – including the lives of his own family. But as the consequences of his actions escalated, so did his desire to change. Told through the eyes of a gangster gone good, Danger to Society is a journey through darkness, a search for identity and a message of hope. Most of all, it is a testament to the transformational power of God’s endless grace. https://www.jorgetorresministry.com/about

J. Warner Wallace
J. Warner Wallace is a cold-case homicide detective, speaker, and author. He is a Senior Fellow at the Colson Center for Christian Worldview, an adjunct professor of apologetics at Biola University, and a faculty member at Summit Ministries. In his latest book “So The Next Generation Will Know”, co-authored with Sean McDowell, they explore the question “How do I teach what I’ve learned about Christ to today’s youth?” Here’s the Answer: the debate over worldview enters new territory, this guide will help caring adults reach and engage a younger generation that’s under assault from secular culture. As believers, we’re concerned because we’re watching a generation disengage from the church. Christian parents, youth leaders, and educators who work with Generation Z strive to share what they know about Jesus in ways that make sense but struggle to relate to the unique perspectives and connected life that permeates this youngest generation. Written by two youth influencers and experts on Generation Z, Sean McDowell, PhD, and J. Warner Wallace, So the Next Generation Will Know is an extraordinarily practical guide for anyone concerned with ensuring the next generation embraces and lives a biblical worldview. Whether you’re a Christian parent, youth leader, or educator who works with Generation Z, this book was written for you. As powerful ideas in our increasingly secular culture shape more of this generation, trusted leaders must share what they know about Jesus in ways that will reach them. But how? Backed by the latest research, this powerful book shows how to share biblical truth with a generation that desperately needs to hear it. https://coldcasechristianity.com/
