Charles Van Kessler
Charles was born in Amsterdam, Holland during the beginning of WWII (1941). Since most of his family was dragged away by the Nazis in front of his eyes at age 2, he ended up in a state-run orphanage for homeless and abandoned children. After 9 years of every abuse imaginable and malnutrition, he ran away and lived on the streets of Amsterdam. After he came to America as a young man, he was in terrible shape, even suicidal. He couldn’t find any vitamin product to improve his health, so at age 65 he created Passion 4 Life liquid vitamins and minerals to improve his own health. It became a “Vitamin with a Mission” since a portion of the profits goes to support children in desperate situations. Because of his life’s struggle, especially the first 20 years of his life in the orphanage and eventually on the streets, he developed a real sense of wanting someday to help kids in similar situations. In 1986 he founded Passion 4 K.I.D.S. (Kids In Desperate Situations). Frequently on his days off he went across the bridge into Mexico and “worked” the garbage dumps where literally thousands of little children ranging from 1 year old up to 10 years old scrounged the garbage dumped by these trucks for survival – no homes, no families, very similar to Charles’ upbringing. The stench was unbelievable. It was there that Charles knew that he wanted to dedicate his life to working with little children to give them a chance in life and to experience true love and compassion. http://passion4lifevitamins.com
Jamie-Lynn Minoose
Jamie's father died when she was a teenager, which sent her on a downward spiral. She got involved with the wrong crowd, and eventually started dating a gang member. She quickly found herself involved in prostitution and drug addiction. After getting kicked out of the last place that would accept her, Jamie had a meltdown in a resturant which was the best/worst thing to happen to her. While in jail, Jamie reached out for God and He showed up in a powerful way. Today Jamie works on the streets through Shekinah Ministries serving women who find themselves imprisoned in the very thing from which she was set free.
