Searita Jones-Harshaw
A former crack-addict, wanted criminal and divorced mother of three, Searita’s adult life was anything but easy. Reaching a point where she began reflecting on the direction her life was headed, Searita knew something was missing; her life was not complete and she definitely was not happy. Sleepless nights and miserable days became her daily routine and often she would get out of bed in the middle of the night and call out to God for help, asking Him to come and rescue her because everything she tried just did not work. Two years went by with the situation getting progressively worse and Searita felt like giving up. God intervened in Searita’s life at just the right time through the life of a young man who was hired as a new employee where Searita worked. Immediately, Searita was struck by his countenance and knew that something was different about him. This young man invited Searita to his church and she decided to go with her daughter. The impact of that invitation eventually led to Searita being freed of a nagging cigarette addiction, having arrest warrants resolved and most importantly, Searita found Jesus as her personal Lord and Saviour. Life for Searita hasn’t been the same since. Searita’s life verse is Jeremiah 33:3 which reads “Call to me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know”.
