Joey Murray is a strong kid. At the tender age of 4, Joey was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. It is a type of cancer of the blood and bone marrow. The tragic nature of his story is when a week after he was diagnosed, his mom, Doretta, suffered a stress seizure. After recovering for 3 weeks, things took an unexpected turn for the worse and her airway collapsed. Sadly, she passed away. As treatment continued for Joey’s cancer, they sensed he was being protected by God. Joey is now 9 years old and is a cancer survivor. People ask all the time how they got through it.
