In May of 2012, Jeff Huxford, M.D. was in a near-fatal car accident, escaping death but suffering a severe traumatic brain injury. This devastating event led Jeff on a journey to a new life and a true purpose. After the brain injury took away his ability to practice medicine, Jeff learned a multitude of wonderful truths about God and he found his value and purpose rooted in Christ. In his debut book, "Finding Normal" Jeff talks about these truths, the truths that changed his heart and moved him away from his previous life of "lukewarm Christianity" towards an authentic faith and true relationship with Jesus. Jeff's book not only helps readers understand the reality of a brain injury, but shows how God can make "beauty from ashes." It tells the inspirational story of a seemingly hopeless and pointless tragedy being transformed into something absolutely beautiful. It's sure to offer hope to anyone facing adversity. www.jeffhuxford.com/
Damian shares how Jesus Christ dramatically changed his life and instantly healed him of his addiction to alcohol. Before Jesus saved him , Damian’s life consisted of two things: work and alcohol. Damian felt no purpose or peace and would often drink himself to the point of blacking out in the hopes that all of the misery he felt would just be over. God in His mercy, placed Damian in a family that consisted of a praying Grandmother who invited Damian to attend church with her. Having tried everything and reaching a point in his life where he started to cry out to God to “please help him”, Damian agreed to go to church with his Grandmother. During that first visit to church, Damian met a man whose ministry focus was helping people who struggle with addictions. Damian recognized that this was God’s restoring power already at work in his life. It was through hearing the powerful testimony of another man who was released of alcohol addiction after placing his faith in Jesus Christ, that Damian felt Jesus speaking directly to him and he repented and was instantly released from his addictions and any temptation to return to them. Damian was baptized and now actively and passionately shares his own testimony of the new creation he is in Christ Jesus!
