Krystle Marriott:
Krystle had big dreams and visions as a child, but her past soon eroded those lofty dreams. She was sexually abused when she was three and a second time at age 10. These events put her in a perpetual state of fear and anxiety. She was haunted by a daunting sense of guilt and withdrew to herself. From ages 13 to 18 she was left to make decisions by herself and helped to raise her two other siblings by offering guidance & instruction for navigating life and support for completing schoolwork. But shouldering this responsibility further increased her anxiety, fear and worry. Encouraged by her high school teachers Krystle was able to finish her high school and got a scholarship to McMaster University. She was diagnosed with Schizophrenia and ended up in hospital where she was impacted by members of a family who were believers in Jesus. Krystle returned to school where she met a girl who introduced her to a weekly small group where she learnt to study the bible and questions she had about God were answered. Krystle was restored and is using her creative art skill and knowledge to impact her community. Krystle is also one of the prayer partners ministering on the Crossroads prayer lines.
