Protests and blockades across the country are objecting a $6 billion court-approved LNG pipeline that will run through Indigenous territory in British Columbia.
Rail blockades in solidarity of the Wet’suwet’en First Nation have stopped the transportation of $425 million of goods shipped daily by rail.
The blockades are threatening to stall the economy and force layoffs at CN Rail and Via Rail.
All this while chiefs call for patience and peace.
