Ann Pretorius
In 1979, through the dramatic healing of Peter’s father, Ann Pretorius and her late husband, Peter, who were tobacco farmers in South Africa, surrendered their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ. Within nine months, driven by enthusiasm in their new-found faith, they started in full-time ministry. After two years of co-Pastoring in a local church, they established Jesus Alive Ministries, a traveling Evangelistic outreach ministry. Through more than 600 outreaches in multiple African nations, over the past 36 years, they have registered more than 12 million decisions for Jesus. The book they co-authored together, called “Death-defying Faith”, captures three decades of adventures in Africa, mass crusade outreaches, powerful accounts of healing & miracles, stories of war and racism and an honest look at what it means to take God at His Word. Ann continues in this mission and serves as CEO of Jesus Alive Ministries (www.jesusalivego.org) , and JAM International www.jamint.com through which they feed more than one million children every school day, drill water wells, and train farmers through their sustainable agricultural development model.
