Ken Michell
On Christmas Eve of 1997, Ken Michell’s life was forever changed when he learned his dad had been tragically killed by a drunk driver. His very close-knit family was devastated as they received the news, but Ken says that the words of Psalm 34:18 took on new meaning for him “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Ken learned to lean into the truth of God’s promise that He is close and that He saves; and, he needed this reminder each and every moment during this very painful season. Ken also testifies that he tangibly knew God loved him – not because he was spared from going through difficulty but because God was with him in the midst of that difficult, valley season, in his life. Ken shares the meaningful ways God tenderly expressed His love and care, both in 1997 and through to today. His story is one of gratitude to God for His healing and hope – much of which came through God speaking to Ken’s heart through the avenue of the psalms, worship, and music. http://tyndale.ca
