Maggie Baratto
Maggie Baratto and her husband serve as the Canadian Directors for the International Association of Healing Rooms. In 2011, Maggie launched the Father's Heart Healing Ministries. The ministry has grown and flourished through the years, and recently Maggie was gifted with two homes to use for ministry however she felt led by God. Maggie uses both homes to minister to women who are voluntarily transitioning out of human trafficking, the sex trade and addiction . Cheryl Weber recently sat down to talk with Maggie about one of these homes which she calls “Transformation House”. This home provides a sanctuary for women who have been sexually exploited through trafficking. Transformation House is in a secure location and provides women who have no place to live and no resources to care for themselves well, a safe refuge where they can heal. Upon arrival at Transformation House, these women are loved, treated with dignity and respect, offered emotional and spiritual counseling and given practical assistance with life skills to help them transition back into society strong and confident. www.fhhm.org
Paul Boge
Paul H. Boge is the Author of "The True Story of the world of Canadian Human Trafficking". For years many people refused to believe that human trafficking was happening here in innocent, safe Canada to our very own Canadian girls. But they were wrong! It is estimated that between 12 and 27 million people are currently caught in human trafficking globally, and Canadian stats show that thousands are exploited for their labour or sexual services right across our own country. Paul is an author, speaker, filmmaker and professional engineer. He serves as a capital project manager with Boge & Boge Consulting Engineers and works in the industrial sector. Paul joins us to share how it is essential that we recognize that trafficking is an industry and the sex trade is a business, and we must be aware of how it operates and how to defeat it.
