David has been homeless for one year. After the company he worked for shut down during the COVID-19 pandemic, David found his age was a barrier to finding new employment. In December, after about 9 months of sleeping on the streets in Toronto, David was offered a bed at Scott Mission. He says the safety and comfort from having a bed at their shelter gave him hope in his darkest time.
