Jason Wilson
As a leader in teaching, training, and transforming boys in Detroit, Jason Wilson shares his own story of discovering what it means to “be a man” in his life-changing memoir “Cry Like a Man”. As the founder The Cave of Adullam Transformational Training Academy, Jason has decades of experience in strengthening the physical, mental, and emotional spirit of boys and men. In “Cry Like a Man”, he explains the dangers men face in our culture’s definition of “masculinity” and gives readers hope that healing is possible. Jason writes, “My passion is to help boys and men find strength to become courageously transparent about their own brokenness as I shed light on the symptoms and causes of childhood trauma and ‘father wounds.’” https://thecatta.org/
Ligia Andrade
Ligia (Leah) grew up in a home with her younger brother who were being raised by a father while he was facing undiagnosed depression. Her mother had abandoned her and her family when she was around the tender age of 9 years old. The event proved to be one of the hardest pains to overcome throughout her life. Eventually the abandonment of her father, physical/emotional abuse, a divorce, and then an attempt to end her own life occurred. She persevered and overcame it all. Ligia joins us to share her experience from Psalm 27:10 “Though my father and my mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me.”
