Ashleigh S. Chapman
At the young age of just 11 years, Ashleigh S. Chapman felt a calling deep within her to spend her days working to solve what was broken in our systems of care and in our communities that led to the abuse of individuals, especially children. This calling led Ashleigh to found Justice U™, an organization with one goal driving all they do: To End human trafficking and protect the vulnerable. Justice U™ learners will discover: • The common myths versus facts of human trafficking • How to recognize the signs of a person being trafficked • How to safely report human trafficking • How to identify their unique role in ending human trafficking––and how their personal and professional life, skills, and interests create opportunities to take meaningful action and make an impact • The everyday strategies and choices they can adopt to make a difference. Chapman says, "You cannot miss when you read the Word of God, our Father's passion for and heart for the oppressed and the vulnerable. And when you read scripture through, you also cannot miss that He calls His church to engage these issues...Church, we have to be strategic...The Church is billions strong, and we're all around the world, and we're entrenched in our own communities, and if we were to wake up to this issue and understand that we are uniquely positioned to engage it, miracles will happen." http://justiceu.engagetogether.com
