Jennen Johnson
Tue, Nov 21, 2017 - Jennen Joanne Johnson wasn't sure if she would live long enough for a kidney to be found on a hospital waiting list.Like an estimated 1 in 1000 Canadians, Jennen has the autoimmune disorder Lupus, which along with the medication she was taking to manage the condition, caused her kidneys to fail..... So she took matters in her own hands to find a donor. With few options, Jennen decided to run an ad in a Toronto magazine seeking a donor, which soon made its way to social media. When Christi Nolan read the post on Facebook, she knew instantly what she had to do. Tune in today to hear the rest of this marvellous story...
Christi Nolan
When Christi Nolan read the post on Facebook, she knew instantly what she had to do. Jennen Johnson of Toronto was looking for a kidney donor to save her life. The waiting list for a kidney was eight years but she was only expected to survive another four years without a transplant. Christi didn't know Jennen and had never met her but that didn't matter. "I just knew right away it was something I wanted to do and to see if I could be of any help,".
