Angela Steenstra
As a 18 year old, while at a party, Angelina started drinking & smoking Hash & Marijuana, little realizing that was one of the worst decisions she could have made. It led to her first sexual encounter, an unplanned pregnancy and subsequent abortion. Depressed, fearful and desperate Angela said "… I did something unforgiveable ... and I didn’t know what to do with it." As a result she began to drink excessively, to use drugs. 7 years after the abortion…she found herself alone, and the idea of suicide began to creep in. Late that night she turned on the TV and 100 Huntley Street was on. David Mainse was doing an altar call. He was inviting the viewers to give their life to Christ…. Angela called the prayer lines and today her life has been totally turned around.
Matt Romer
Matt was raised in a religious home which involved in his going through the motions without truly believing. He had lost contact with his father at a young age, which led to feelings of mistrust and abandonment. Despite having a healthy and loving relationship with his mother and stepfather, Matt found that the void was too much to overcome on his own. He was using his own resources to survive, with no real understanding of God which led to trouble with addiction. Mat felt lost, and unhappy with his life. Through an invitation, Matt attended a men's conference where he was introduced to life with Jesus and in that he has found forgiveness, freedom & acceptance.
